During the winter, the Montrose-Telluride Airport offers expanded service including up to three daily flights from Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), daily flights from/through Phoenix (PHX), Houston (IAH) and Chicago (ORD). In total more than a dozen flights bring skiers from major U.S. hubs into Montrose-Telluride.

FLYING INTO Montrose Airport (MTJ)
We recommend you fly into Montrose Airport, www.flymontrose.com, and take Telluride Express Ground Transportation. Flying directly into Telluride in the winter is not recommended due to weather conditions.
Start by heading southwest on Airport Road towards N. Townsend Ave. Staying straight, you will follow US-550 until you reach the small town of Ridgway. At the traffic light, turn right, following signs for CO-62 and Telluride. You will stay straight on this road until you are able to make a left on CO-145, following signs for Telluride. Stay straight until you reach a traffic circle. Make your first available right, following signs for Mountain Village. Straight ahead for almost a mile until you may take the first available left onto Mountain Village Blvd. Follow this road until you see the Madeline’s drive!
Flying into Telluride Airport (TEX)
You’ve landed at the highest airport in the US. You are now 15 minutes away from the beautiful Madeline Hotel. When leaving the airport, follow Airport Road until you reach the intersection at the bottom of the hill. Make a right onto CO-145, heading towards the traffic circle. Take the second exit, following signs for Mountain Village. Head up the hill for almost a mile until you may take the first available left onto Mountain Village Blvd. Follow this road until you see the Madeline’s drive!
Flying into Grand Junction (GJT)
Approximately 130 miles, 2 hours 30 minutes
The Grand Junction Regional Airport offers nonstop flights (year-round) from six cities and hundreds of connecting destinations. Nonstop flights are available from Denver (DEN), Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX), Salt Lake City (SLC), Las Vegas (LAS), Los Angeles (LAX) and Houston (IAH).
Flying into Durango-La Plata (DRO)
Approximately 125 miles, 2 hours 30 minutes
Head north on Airport Rd towards CO-172 S. Take US-160W to CO-184W/N Main Street in Mancos. To continue following CO-184, make a right on N Main St/CO-184. After 17.4 miles, you will be able to make a right onto CO-145 N. After 60.5 miles, you will be able to turn right onto Mountain Village Blvd. Follow this road until you see the Madeline’s drive!.
