SCHEDULE

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 4TH

12:30-4 p.m.  Free Skiing and Training with the Pros: Optional training and free skiing with the DISC pro skiers.
Meet by the Silver Queen Gondola on Aspen Mountain at 12:30 p.m. for pointers from the pros, ski with old and new friends, and take a few runs on the NASTAR course.

4:00-6:00 p.m.  Registration & Welcome Reception at the St. Regis Aspen Hotel, Maroon Bells Room (315 East Dean St. 970-920-3300) Register and enjoy a cocktail and snacks at our host hotel, The St. Regis Aspen. At registration, you will compete your race consent forms, pick up your gift bag, lift ticket, and credentials. 

6:30 p.m.  Dinner at The Sky Hotel, Aspen Room (709 East Durant Ave.  970-925-6760)  Cocktails, Dinner, DJ & Dancing

THURSDAY, MARCH 5TH

9:00 a.m.  First-Time DISC Racers Time Trials, Meet at base of Silver Queen Gondola
All first-time DISC racer attendees will meet the pros at the base of the Silver Queen Gondola. You will join them on mountain for a brief inspection of the racecourse and a warm-up run before your time trials. Newbies will be asked to race at least 3 time trial runs on the course on Thursday morning. Time trials are mandatory and allow us to establish your handicap. Ski your best and have fun.

10:45 a.m. Returning DISC Racers Inspection and Time Trials on the North American Run
Returning racers who wish to inspect the course must be on the racecourse before 9:30 a.m. to inspect. All returning racers will be asked for 2 time-trial runs.

11:50 a.m. Lunch at Bonnie’s Restaurant (at the base of the race course).

1:30–4:00 p.m. Free Skiing
Ski and practice with your friends, pros, and competition. You will have the opportunity to ski with those you are likely to race against the rest of the week. Our phenomenal pros will provide you with tours of the mountain, coach you on running the practice course, and coach you on racing starts out of our pro-style gates.

3:30–6:00 p.m. Wine, Cheese and Tuning at Miller Sports

Please join us at our host ski shop, Miller Sports, and have your skis tuned for fierce competition while browsing the store and enjoying a little wine and cheese. DISC participants will receive 50% off tuning and 30% off ski rentals. NOTE: We recommend that you reserve rental equipment in advance at http://millersportsaspen.com.

6:30 p.m. US Ski Team Reception & Dinner Benefit

Cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, team naming, silent suction, dinner, live auction, and entertainment

When you arrive at the reception, you will receive your team assignment and meet the competition. You will then join your new teammates at a team table for dinner. At that point, let the games begin! We start the festivities with our Calcutta auction. Each team will purchase itself for $4,500 (this is an amount shared evenly among the 9 nonpro team members).

Calcutta bets are in addition to your entrance cost. After reviewing the days’ time trial results, teams will be given the chance to bid on their pro of choice. Following the Calcutta auction of the pros, we will begin our live auction portion. You will also have a chance to support our charitable partner with your silent auction bids. Proceeds of the 3 auctions will benefit the US Ski & Snowboard Team Foundation (USSA).

1:30–3:00 p.m. AFTERNOON RACES

6:30 p.m. Reception at Casa Tua Private Club

3:30–5:30 p.m. Après Ski Pool Party and Awards

Join us after all the races….that’s when the real celebrations start! Wear your robes or preferred après attire and join us for wet-bar cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.

Announcing Calcutta victors!
The top 3 point-scoring teams will take the spoils with award prizes and money.
